OverDrive error: Unable to transfer the selected title because its transfer limit has been reached.

Answer

The license for a title only allows you to transfer the title a certain number of times before producing an error message. When this error is seen, you can refresh the transfer license for the title to allow for additional transfer attempts. To refresh the license, please complete the following steps:

- From the library account, click download for this title.

- When the 'Get Media' window for OverDrive Media Console opens, click OK. This will obtain a new copy of the license for the title and allow for further transfer attempts.
