How do I cancel a hold?

Answer:

How to cancel holds that are not "In-transit" nor on hold shelf ready for pickup:

1. Login to your Library account

2.  Click "holds"

3. Click the title you want to cancel

4. Click "Cancel this hold" in the blue column on the left

 

How to cancel holds that are "In-transit":

If the status is "intransit --> sent" please wait until the status is "holdshelf pickup by [date]" then follow procedure below. 

 

How to cancel holds that are on the hold shelf ready for pickup:

Contact the Community Library pickup location by phone to let staff know you don't need the item.  You can also cancel these holds online.   This link is provided on email courtesy notices that you can signup for from the Library and that notify you of items ready for pickup.

There is no fine if you don't pickup your hold.
